『The Who By Numbers』の決定版エディションが登場。
オリジナル・アルバムの最新リマスター音源を中心に、Pete Townshendのデモ、貴重なスタジオ・セッション、アウトテイク、初期ミックス、
さらに1976年にSwanseaのVetch Fieldで行われた「Who Put The Boot In」公演のライヴ音源まで収録した充実のコレクションとなっている。

5CDには、CD1に最新リマスターされたオリジナル・アルバムを収録。
CD2にはPete Townshendによるデモ11曲を収録し、そのうち10曲はPete自身による最新ミックス、さらに8曲は『The Who By Numbers』期の未発表音源となる。
CD3にはRamport StudiosとShepperton Studiosでの未発表トラッキング・セッションやアウトテイク、
CD4には未発表の初期ミックス、ガイド・ヴォーカル、ラジオ広告、ライヴ音源、未発表インタビューを収録。
CD5には、1976年にSwanseaのVetch Fieldで行われた「Who Put The Boot In」公演のライヴ音源を収めている。

Blu-rayには、Pete TownshendによるDolby Atmosミックスに加え、24-bit/96kHzのハイレゾ・ステレオ＆サラウンド・ミックスを収録。
さらに、Michigan州PontiacのMetropolitan Stadiumで行われたThe Whoのライヴ映像も収められている。

また、詳細なライナーノーツ、貴重な写真、メモラビリア、当時のアーカイヴ資料を掲載した100ページのハードカバー・ブックも付属。
『The Who By Numbers』の制作背景と時代を多角的に掘り下げる、まさに決定版と呼ぶにふさわしい豪華エディションとなっている。
