The guiding ethos in the creation The Others music video was to utilize only the most basic elements of photography, (light and shadow, black and white) but to push them to the fullest extent possible. This approach was my response to the simple but strong aesthetic of the song, as well as the time and production constraints. MIYAVI was so easy and fun to work with, from our first meeting about the idea I think it only took 20 minutes to simply say \u201clet.FN”s do this,\u201d and everything moved forward very quickly from there. ItN”s a given that heN”s a virtuoso performer with incredible energy, so it was my intent to capture this energy from a unique and disorienting perspective.<\/p>\r\n
