HYDE (Vocal & Guitar)
HYDE is the vocalist of one of Japan's leading rock bands, L'Arc-en-Ciel, but he is also a very successful solo artist since his solo debut on October 17, 2001. He is also known as an acclaimed composer, writing the main track "GLAMOROUS SKY" for the Japanese hit-movie "NANA". HYDE's singles "evergreen", "HELLO", "COUNTDOWN" and "SEASON'S CALL" became huge hits, topping Japan's ORICON hit chart upon the release. In April 2006, HYDE released his 3rd solo album "FAITH" as well as launched his Japan countrywide concert tour titled "HYDE TOUR 2006 FAITH". The 50 show tour was a huge success, selling out at each show! In the same period of time, HYDE also performed in 4 cities along the West Coast of the U.S.A., also selling out those shows in the matter of minutes. In March 2009, signifying his official transition into VAMPS, HYDE released a greatest hits album "HYDE" that recaptured the highlights of his solo career.
K.A.Z is the guitarist and music composer for another famous Japanese rock band, "Oblivion Dust". However, he also performed with other two iconic Japanese bands - "hide with Spread Beaver" and "Spin Aqua"(with pop idol Anna Tsuchiya). In 2003 he started working with HYDE, helping write and produce some of HYDE's solo works. Their collaboration strengthened over time and was credited with the huge success of HYDE's 3rd album "FAITH". K.A.Z co-produced the album with HYDE as well as composed 5 tracks, including the single "SEASON'S CALL", on the album.
K.A.Z is also well-known as a successful composer for films, including "Detroit Metal City" for which he wrote the main track "SATSUGAI". Still a working member of Oblivion Dust and now VAMPS, K.A.Z plays a large part in directing the future of Japanese rock music.
