UM360 Signs Record Setting Producing Team
~ Major plans towards producing not only Domestic but International Artists~
UM360 Inc., the wholly-owned artsits management company of Universal Music LLC. (Japan), a division of UMG, has signed an exclusive management contract with British Academy Award winning composer Jeremy Soule and Music For The Planet LLC. (MFTP), a Los Angeles-based company formed by Soule and Multi-Platinum record producer Jeff Miyahara to develop and promote global music talents. The companies are co-developing a new record label that will be distributed through Universal Music on a worldwide basis.
Atsushi Suzuki, President of UM360, stated, “We have teamed up with the hotteset producers in the Music Industry and we at UM360 believe that this relationship will produce new creations with strong appeal both domestically and globally.”
With experience in both the music and interactive entertainment industries, Soule and Miyahara’s efforts have contributed to more than 60 million unit sales and $1.5 billion at retail. With multiple songs currently in the Japanese Top 40, the team has also achieved critical acclaim, along with wins for “Best Music” at the 2003 British Academy Awards and the 2006 MTV Video Music Awards.
Mr. Soule is a leading music supervisor and composer in the interactive entertainment industry and has provided music for some of the most successful and admired video game franchises including Star Wars, Harry Potter, Guild Wars, Elder Scrolls and SOCOM: US Navy Seals. Soule’s music has also been featured in corporate materials for Walden Films. His collaborator and partner, Mr. Miyahara (CEO of MFTP), is a leading rock and pop producer that recently charted four songs simultaneously in the Japanese Top Ten.
